We have six open dates to fill in January and February for Family Doctor of the Day (FDOD) program. We are almost there! Upcoming open dates include: January 30 and February 5, 14, 19, 20, 26. Go to the FDOD web page for a complete calendar listing with instructions and to sign-up or contact Michelle Corkins at 316.721.9005.

FDOD volunteers report to the Capitol Building in Topeka at 9:00 a.m. and stay until 3:00 p.m. taking care of legislators, staff and sometimes even visitors who need medical attention.

If you are an active member or resident with a Kansas license, you are eligible to serve as the FDOD at the Statehouse during the legislative session. The 2019 Legislative Session opens on January 14, 2019.

The Family Doctor of the Day (FDOD) program is an opportunity to network in Topeka, learn about the legislative process, perhaps attend part of a session or committee, and provide a much-appreciated service to legislators on behalf of KAFP.

Thank you all for the wonderful response so far!
