KAFP Offers Financial Review Benefit to Support Residents and New Physicians
New Physician Benefits
The transition from residency to full time practice can be both exciting and stressful. To help our new physicians (those 7 years or fewer into practice post-residency), the KAFP is pleased to provide a benefit designed for graduating residents and new physicians. This benefit, offered through Navigate, is currently under financial review. In June KAFP will be releasing an additional benefit — an employee contract review.

KU Family Medicine Residency Program
The University of Kansas Family Medicine Residency is part of a renowned academic medical center in Kansas City, KS. Our aim is to develop physician leaders who partner with their communities to decrease health disparities. We do this by fulfilling our mission of training intellectually curious, compassionate and competent family physicians committed to caring for the underserved.
Our location, the urban center of a rural state, provides opportunities to practice with professionals grounded in community medicine and with researchers respected in their fields. Residents train at the University of Kansas Hospital for most of their patient care experiences, however we recognize the importance of community engagement with our urban, underserved population and provide numerous opportunities to foster resident development in the community.
