2026 Legislative Updates

KAFP is directly engaged in Topeka each week of the legislative session. Our partner at Markley Strategies, along with volunteer leaders and staff, are onsite to give testimony, meet with legislators, attend important hearings and serve as Family Doctor of the Day. We invest resources in an effort to advocate for the profession of family medicine, our patients and communities across Kansas. Markley Strategies updates the membership each week during session, highlighting important points, calls to action, and the status of bills we’re watching, so our members can stay well-informed on KAFP’s advocacy efforts.
