Academic Advisory Group (AAG)

Group Info
The role of the Academic Advisory Group is to:

  • Program and project research and development as delegated by the BOD.
  • Can develop programs and/or projects that align with the adopted strategic plan for the BOD to consider for adoption, brought to the BOD via the Chair.
  • Can submit feedback on Academy programming, projects or other endeavors that impact their academic entities to the BOD via the Chair.
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to KAFP staff in regards to issues/topics related to academics.
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to other committees in regards issues/topics related to academics.
  • Not to serve as an individual representative of an academic institution, but rather the function of academics in relation to the work of the Academy.

Its membership consists of one representative from each residency program and family medicine department as well as preceptors and members with a strong affinity for academics. Each program/department identifies their representative to this committee. Representatives must be KAFP members in good standing.
