The role of the Education Committee is to:
- Serve as subject matter experts in terms of identifying physician education topics to host at regular scheduled events.
- Provide member perspective for planning regularly scheduled physician education activities.
- In conjunction with staff lead, set programming agenda for physician education activities.
- Can develop programs/projects that align with the adopted strategic plan for the BOD to consider for adoption, brought to the BOD via the President-elect.
- Speakers & Authors Bureau (sub group of committee)
- Recruit potential speakers and authors for programming.
- Review abstracts submitted, identify presentation opportunities.
- Develop and manage a “call for proposals/abstracts” system
