It is not too early to sign up to serve as Family Doctor of the Day (FDOD) for the 2020 legislative session. Each year during the legislative session, KAFP organizes for a volunteer to serve as the “Family Doctor of the Day” at the state capitol. In preparation for the 2020 legislative session, KAFP is recruiting volunteers to serve. All KAFP members with a Kansas license (including residents) are eligible to volunteer. Through committee involvement you can provide input on Academy activities and help advance the mission of the KAFP.

- Submit your committee application by July 1, 2019. Please note we request two selections, but you are only appointed to one committee.
- KAFP will be in touch with you regarding your committee appointment in July.

And on Thursday, June 14, we will officially kick off the 2018 Annual Meeting, 70 Years Caring for Kansans! All registrants should have already received a “Know Before You Go” e-mail with details about the conference. American Cancer Society
KAFP is partnering with the America Cancer Society (ACS) the Kansas Cancer Partnership, and other organizations, to offer free Colorectal Cancer education during the summer months. View the CRC Screening Webinar Series flyer. Topics include some the of the nation’s top subject matter experts on colorectal cancer as it relates to evidenced based interventions, patient navigation, and lack of affordability/access. All webinars will be recorded if unable to attend the live presentation. The KAFP is pleased to be a planning partner for the CRC Screening strategies for Kansans.
