The KAFP Foundation is now accepting applications for the  Student Leader in Family Medicine Award. This award is designed to honor third-year medical students from any Kansas medical school, with plans of going into family medicine. Award recipients will be identified and presented with a $250 award.

Award Criteria

Third-year medical students attending medical school in Kansas are eligible.

• Applicant has plans of pursuing family medicine residency.
• Applicant must be a KAFP member in good standing.

Timeline

• Oct. 16: Nominations open
• Jan. 15: Nominations due
• February 2024: KAFP Foundation Board of Trustees to select and notify recipients
• May 7: Recognition during the Awards Luncheon at Fam Med Forward

Expectations & Scholarship Award

The recipients are expected to attend the KAFP’s annual conference, Fam Med Forward June 7, 2024 where they will be recognized at the Awards Luncheon where they receive their award.
