Faculty Representative – Wichita candidate Tessa Rohrberg
I have been heavily involved in the KAFP since I was a medical student, and I am excited at the opportunity to continue that involvement in a different role. I am passionate about family medicine in the state of Kansas and educating our future family physicians. I have served in various roles, most recently as the District 2 director and I am ready to further my leadership in the faculty representative role for the KUSM-Wichita campus. As a newer faculty member to the Department of Family and Community Medicine, I feel that I can bring a fresh perspective to the board. I am involved in many leadership opportunities on the KUSM-Wichita campus and am willing to be a bridge between those organizations and the KAFP. I am involved in several diversity, equity, and inclusion committees and am the newest co-advisor the FMIG. In addition, I work with all levels of learners: I lead small group problem-based learning with the first-year students, am the co-assistant director for the third-year family medicine clerkship, am the director for electives in family medicine and sub-internships and supervise clinic, hospital rounding, and nursing home rounds with the family medicine residents at Wesley Family Medicine.
