AAFP’s Physician Health First Initiative
It’s time to put your health first. By prioritizing your well-being you can help reverse the trend toward physician burnout and stay passionate about your purpose: quality patient care.
AAFP’s Physician Health First program has been developed and tailored just for you! Members can take advantage of many tools and resources provided by AAFP such as a Well-being Planner, take the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), and much more!
The AAFP’s Well-being Planner is a new tool created to help family physicians navigate their path to personal well-being and professional satisfaction. Members can access the Planner from the Physician Health First Portal and use it to:
- Save helpful articles to a reading list for convenient future reference
- Access comprehensive resources to address the five major areas of the family physician ecosystem (healthcare system, organization, practice, individual, and physician culture)
- Set goals
- Track and measure their progress
