The Kansas Academy of Family Physicians is seeking emerging leaders to serve as delegates to the American Academy of Family Physicians National Conference of Constituency Leaders (NCCL) – April 23-25, 2020 in Kansas City, Mo.

KAFP is looking for physician members to represent five special constituencies:

  1. Women
  2. Minorities
  3. New physicians (in the first seven years of practice following residency)
  4. International medical graduates (IMG), from schools outside the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico
  5. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) physicians or physician allies

KAFP delegates to NCCL are reimbursed for eligible expenses, in accordance with the KAFP reimbursement policy. If you are interested in serving as an NCCL delegate, please email a short statement of interest to Tarah Remington Brown at tremingtonbrown@kafponline.org expressing your interest by Jan. 31, 2020.

During NCCL, you will meet family physicians from across the United States, discuss and develop resolutions that shape AAFP policies, and have the chance to be elected for various leadership positions for the next NCCL or as a delegate to the annual AAFP Congress of Delegates. Become a KAFP leader and be inspired with the NCCL Family Medicine + You = Everyday Leadership. Be part of positive change in family medicine.
