ABFM Approves Longitudinal Assessment Examination Alternative Pilot
ABFM
The American Board of Family Medicine has approved the Family Medicine Certification Longitudinal Assessment (FMCLA) pilot for 2019. The longitudinal assessment pilot is an alternative to the one-day examination that will allow Diplomates to complete their 2019 examination requirement in an exciting new way. FMCLA aligns with adult learning principles and is coupled with modern technology to promote enduring learning, retention and transfer of knowledge. This pilot is limited to Diplomates who are currently certified and are in the tenth year of certification due to end December 31, 2019. Learn more about the FMCLA pilot on the ABFM website.
