Thank You to Our 2026 Family Doctor of the Day Volunteers!

The 2026 legislative session has wrapped, and thanks to you, family medicine had a strong, compassionate presence at the Kansas Statehouse. Through the KAFP Family Doctor of the Day (FDOD) program, members volunteer as the on-site physician, providing basic care to legislators, staff, and visitors. Just as importantly, FDOD builds meaningful relationships with decision-makers — showcasing the compassion, versatility, and impact of family medicine. We were excited to continue to offer the volunteer opportunity to resident members for the second consecutive year.
