Biography
Erin Bider, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas Health System. Dr. Bider is a perinatal psychiatrist specializing in mental healthcare for pregnant and postpartum individuals. She founded the Maternal Mental Health Clinic at The University of Kansas Health System in 2021. She also sees patients with treatment-resistant depression for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine (Spravato) treatments. Dr. Bider is passionate about improving access to mental health services for the perinatal population. She serves on the state’s perinatal access line (Kansas Connecting Communities) and Maternal Mortality Review Committee (KMMRC) to improve outcomes for perinatal individuals across Kansas. Dr. Bider earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Kansas and her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry and perinatal training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where she was on the Resident Academic Track. Dr. Bider enjoys teaching trainees from a variety of specialties to comfortably and compassionately manage psychiatric issues that arise in this patient population. In addition to serving as an active lecturer to medical students and residents, as well as at Continuing Medical Education events, Dr. Bider is a rising scholar credited with numerous research poster presentations at national meetings and a growing number of peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Bider’s professional affiliations include the International Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health, American Psychiatric Association, Gold Humanism Honor Society, Psi Chi International Psychology Honor Society, Women Philanthropists 4 KU, and the University of Kansas Alumni Mentoring Program.

Biography
Kalee Kirmer-Voss, MD, FAAFP, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She also serves as an Assistant Director for the Wescoe Society for undergraduate medical students. She is heavily involved in medical education. Dr. Kirmer-Voss completed her medical degree at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City and Wichita. She returned to Kansas City to complete residency at the University of Kansas. She served as a chief resident during her final year of residency before joining faculty. Her interests in pediatric plagiocephaly stem from having a child who needed cranial helmet therapy.

Biography
Donna Ryan, MD, FTOS is Professor Emerita at Pennington Biomedical in Baton Rouge, LA, where she lead the obesity and nutrition clinical research programs. She was an Investigator on POUNDS Lost, Look AHEAD, DPP, DASH and many other studies of the health benefits of weight loss by diet, lifestyle intervention and medications. Her personal research studied improving primary care management of obesity. She has been an active member and former President of The Obesity Society (North America) and World Obesity Federation. Dr. Ryan served as Co-Chair of the SELECT Steering Committee and is a member of the Data Safety Monitoring Boards for setmelanotide, retatrutide and CIN-110-112. She has more than 300 publications, is a frequent speaker on obesity and diabetes treatments and remains an active consultant and advisor to companies developing drugs, devices, lifestyle programs and medical approaches to obesity management.

Biography
On November 1 2022 Gary LeRoy, MD, FAAFP became the Senior Vice President for Diplomate Engagement of the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. LeRoy is an associate professor of Family Medicine at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine (Dayton, Ohio). He served as the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions for 14 years (2008-2022). Dr. LeRoy is a native Daytonian, received his undergraduate (1982) and M.D. (1988) degrees from Wright State University and completed his residency at Miami Valley Hospital (Dayton, Ohio). He completed a fellowship at Michigan State University in 1992. Dr. LeRoy’s major affiliations include serving on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dayton Levitt Pavilion, East End Community Center, WestCare Ohio, and The Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. He is also a past board chair of The Dayton Foundation, Public Health Dayton/Montgomery County, and Hospice of Dayton. He serves as the Chief Medical Consultant for the City of Dayton Schools. Dr. LeRoy is the Past-President and Board Chair of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is also an active member of the Ohio State Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (Past President), and the Phi Rho Sigma Medical Society (Vice President).
Dr. LeRoy is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Golden Key Honor Society-Wright State University Chapter. He has been recognized as one of America’s 50 Most Positive Physicians. He has been honored as the Miami Valley Family Physician of the Year, and the National Registry of Who’s Who in America. Dr. LeRoy received the Wright State University Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award, the Dean’s Awarded to the Outstanding medical school graduate, a Certificate of Recognition by the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate, the American Association of Medical Colleges Humanism in Medicine Award, the Outstanding Volunteerism Award from Reach Out of Montgomery County, the Humanism in Medicine Award-Gem City Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Society, Dayton’s Top Ten African American Male Award, the National Council of Community and Justice Humanism Award, the American Medical Student Association Golden Apple Teaching Excellence Award, Greater Dayton African American Skyscraper Recognition, and both the Educator of the Year and Philanthropist of the Year awards from the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians.
He is also an award-winning book author – Quotes From The Edge of Nowhere (2020). In addition, Dr. LeRoy is a board-certified family physician, providing comprehensive medical care at Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton, a federally qualified health center. Dr LeRoy’s practice is at the East Dayton Health Center where served as medical director from 1998-2008. He has provided health care services for the Dayton community for 30 years.

Biography
Aaron Sinclair, MD, FAAFP, CAQSM is a graduate of University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2004 and Via Christi Family Medicine Residency in 2007. He has spent the past 18 years working in a variety of settings in medicine including Emergency Departments, Inpatient Medicine, Obstetrics, Endoscopy and most recently Sports Medicine. In 2023, he completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Via Christi Sports Medicine. Currently, he uses those skills for the fun part of his job – as the Sports Medicine Physician for Friends University and Classical School of Wichita as well as the patients at Wesley Family Medicine Residency. The not as fun part of his job – he is also the Program Director at Wesley Family Medicine Residency for the past two years and faculty there for 12 years.

David Willey, MD is the Unit Director of the Substance Use Disorders Unit at Cottonwood Springs Behavioral Health Hospital in Olathe, Kansas. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas Medical Center where he completed his general psychiatry training and a fellowship specializing in Addiction Psychiatry. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Willey has received numerous honors that include the Shawn M. Memorial Award, Chief Resident of Psychiatry, Student Voice Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. He has worked in various institutions around the Kansas City area and is involved with numerous organizations in the efforts to address substance use-related issues in the state of Kansas.

Emily Roseberry, DO, PGY2 proudly calls Yates Center, KS, her hometown. Her academic path took her through Allen Community College and Kansas State University, where she laid the groundwork in preparation for her medical education at Kansas City University in Joplin. She is currently a resident at the University of Kansas CHCSEK Rural Family Medicine Residency in Pittsburg, KS. Looking ahead, Dr. Roseberry envisions herself in rural healthcare, providing full-spectrum family medicine to the people of Yates Center and its surrounding areas. Dr. Roseberry finds solace and joy in the great outdoors, which includes fishing, nurturing her garden into bloom, or paddling along in her kayak. She also enjoys games like tennis and golf.
