Present research, case study, or literature review findings in the form of a poster presentation at a statewide meeting. The purpose of the presentation is to (1) promote scholarly activity among medical students and family medicine residents, (2) provide a venue for recognition of original work, and (3) provide quality education at the KAFP Annual Meeting.
Medical students and Family Medicine residents in Kansas who are members of KAFP.
Student membership is free, complete a membership application online.
Poster presentations may be either a research project, case study, or literature review.
Posters should address a topic relevant to family medicine.
Submissions must be of original work.
Projects previously presented at medical schools “Research Days” are acceptable. Current submissions to other conferences are considered legitmate and are, in fact, encouraged.
The person submitting the poster must be a member of KAFP.

Review & Selection of Abstracts
Abstracts will be reviewed by trustees of the KAFP-Foundation. Authors submitting abstracts that are accepted for the Poster Presentation will be notified and will be expected to present their poster on the morning of Saturday, June 6, 2020. Details of timing will be included in the acceptance confirmation.
Students and residents giving poster presentations will receive complimentary registration to the KAFP Annual Meeting.
For presenters traveling more than 60 miles KAFP will provide one-night stay in the conference hotel if requested.
KAFP-Foundation will provide a $100 participation stipend for each poster presented.
