The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), via its role as a Support and Alignment Network for the TCPI, is sponsoring a special issue of the Annals of Family Medicine focused on sharing lessons in practice transformation.  To help stimulate new knowledge relevant to supporting practice improvement and facilitated practice transformation, the Annals of Family Medicine is issuing a call for manuscripts that address learning from practice transformation efforts. Accepted papers will be published in a 2019 supplement to the Annals. Articles with the potential to assess outcomes, describe methods, or otherwise translate learning from these and other practice transformation models will be considered. Papers are due August 31, 2018. Visit Call for Papers: Learning from Practice Transformation.

In this PRIME Registry demo, attendees will learn how practice EHR data are turned into actionable clinical quality measures through the PRIME Registry on-boarding process, and how automated reporting reduces and streamlines effort for a wide variety of reporting and performance improvement needs. Attendees will also view a demonstration of the PRIME Registry dashboard and see how to target opportunities for improvement at the patient, clinician, and practice level (and across multiple sites of a single practice). This interactive webinar is led by PRIME Registry Recruiting Coordinator Alison Morris and the PRIME Registry technical team. Those interested will only need to attend one of the webinars.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) will grant awards of up to $2 million each to 25 certified community behavioral health clinics (CCBHCs) or community-based behavioral health clinics that may not yet be certified but meet the certification criteria and can be certified within four months of award.  CCBHCs provide person- and family-centered services and are available in the 24 states that participated in the FY 2016 Planning Grants for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics. Participants in the CCBHC Expansion grant program must provide access to services for individuals with serious mental illness or substance use disorders, children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance, and individuals with co-occurring disorders.  It’s estimated that 18.7 percent of residents of rural counties had some sort of mental illness in 2016, which amounts to over 6.5 million people, a challenge exacerbated by limited access to care.
